You May Be Wondering
I wanted a degree that sat at the edge of creativity and technology rather than deep inside either one. Digital Media gave me visual communication, storytelling, and production. Information Systems gave me systems thinking, business analysis, and how organisations actually use technology. That combination is unusual and I find it genuinely useful every day at work.

After Honours I am looking for a role where I can do meaningful product or systems work inside a team that takes design and user experience seriously. I am drawn to the overlap between business strategy and how products actually get built.
African contemporary art, well-designed systems that feel effortless to use, people who make things, and the moments when a complicated problem suddenly has an obvious answer. Working at Strauss & Co has deepened my appreciation for how culture and commerce intersect.
Photography, videography, and finding good food in Cape Town. I also shoot and edit short-form content, which has made me much more intentional about visual storytelling in my professional work too.

I am a BCom (Hons) Information Systems candidate at UCT with a background that spans UX design, digital marketing, web development, and business process analysis. My work sits at the intersection of how systems work and how people actually use them.

Currently working as a MarTech and UI/UX Analyst at Strauss & Co Fine Art Auctioneers — South Africa's leading fine art auction house — where I apply web design, SEO, CRM, and digital strategy across a high-volume creative business.

UX Design Product Analysis Business Analysis Figma

NSFAS Accommodation Discovery Redesign

The NSFAS website does not make it easy for students to find accommodation. I identified what was frustrating users, looked at how similar property platforms handle the same problem, and redesigned the listings experience in Figma. The redesign includes clearer search filters, better map integration, and a layout that makes comparing options much simpler.

Uber Eats Platform Analysis

I broke down how the Uber Eats platform works from the perspective of each party: restaurants, delivery drivers, and customers. The goal was to understand where their interests conflict, document how the app handles different scenarios, and identify what could be improved.

First Case Start Process Redesign · New Somerset Hospital

First scheduled surgeries at New Somerset Hospital were consistently starting late. Working under a Chief Specialist Anaesthesiologist, our team interviewed 11 staff members, traced the delays, and proposed a two-stage fix targeting a lift in on-time starts from 41% to 80%.
